Police: Intruder stealing from schools

Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man they say has been walking into Omaha schools and walking out with other people’s property.

On March 25, a man walked into Creighton Prep and began checking some of the classrooms. During this, $125 was taken from a teacher’s desk, according to an Omaha police report.

The incident was recorded on video cameras placed throughout the school.

Police believe the man may be the same person suspected in a similar series of trespassings in several Omaha-area schools last fall, said Officer Michael Pecha, a Police Department spokesman.

Creighton Prep is located at 7400 Western Ave.
