Events related to the Berkshire-Hathaway shareholders meeting. Many require shareholder credentials for admission. Shareholder discounts run through Monday at the Nebraska Furniture Mart, 700 S. 72nd St., and through May 8 at Borsheim's, 120 Regency Parkway.

THURSDAY

» Peter Buffett book signing for “Life Is What You Make It,” 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Hudson Booksellers at Eppley Airfield.

FRIDAY

» Shareholder services kiosk open noon to 6 p.m., Qwest Center Omaha lobby, to answer questions or address problems. For shareholders who have not received credentials, proof of stock ownership and photo identification required for issuance of credentials.

» Creighton University's College of Business and portfolio practicum class will host a value investing panel discussion at 3:30 p.m. in the Hixson-Lied auditorium of the Mike and Josie Harper Center. A reception will follow the panel discussion at 4:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.

» Yellow BRKers party, 4 p.m., Doubletree Hotel, 1616 Dodge St. The group's name is taken from Berkshire's BRK ticker symbol, which sounds like “brick,” as in “yellow brick road” from “The Wizard of Oz.”

» Ralph Nader's “Only the Super Rich Can Save Us!”/“People Have the Power” national tour, book signing, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Hudson Booksellers, Eppley Airfield. Information: www.onlythesuperrich.org

» Shareholder cocktail reception, Borsheim's, 120 Regency Parkway, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

» “Life Is What You Make It,” concert and conversation with Peter Buffett, 7:30 p.m., Witherspoon Concert Hall, Joslyn Art Museum, 2200 Dodge St. Tickets, $45 to $90, available at www.TicketOmaha.com. A fund-raiser for Joslyn and the Kent Bellows Studio & Center for Visual Arts in Omaha.

» Book signing with 17 authors of books related to Berkshire or Warren Buffett, 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Dairy Queen, 404 N. 114th St.

SATURDAY

» Annual meeting, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Qwest Center Omaha. Doors open at 7 a.m., movie at 8:30 a.m. Authors will sign books throughout the day in the merchant area.

» Howard Buffett fund-raiser for “Hike to Help Refugees,” noon to 2 p.m., Milo Bail Student Center, University of Nebraska at Omaha, 60th and Dodge Streets. Luncheon and lecture, $50; lecture, $20.
