Babies get in free to see ‘Babies’ on movie screen

Film Streams plans several Mother’s Day events around the opening of a documentary.

“Babies” chronicles the lives of four newborns in Mongolia, Namibia, San Francisco and Tokyo. The movie, which opens Friday, follows the infants from birth to taking their first steps.

Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., babies are welcome to attend screenings with their mothers in Film Streams’ Ruth Sokolof Theater, 14th and Mike Fahey Streets. Children ages 2 and under are admitted free.

On Sunday, Mother’s Day, all moms will get a free small popcorn.

Also, moms who share a picture of their baby or a baby picture of themselves on Film Streams’ Facebook page will be entered into a drawing to win a package of gifts. The package includes a grocery tote and two passes to see “Babies.”
