Three people were in custody and one man in the hospital after a shooting Tuesday night at a north Omaha home.
Eddie D. Shelly, 24, of 2222 N. 37th St., was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center after he was shot in the face with a shotgun at his home. Police said his condition is not believed to be life threatening and that he was in serious but stable condition as of Tuesday night.
Hospital officials did not release his condition Wednesday morning.
Police said a woman came to Shelly's house and started arguing with him. Shortly after she arrived, a man showed up and shot Shelly. Shelly ran to a neighbor's house immediately after being shot about 10:30 p.m., police said.
The suspects fled in a dark SUV. Officers received information that the vehicle was in the area of 31st and Charles Streets. Officers went to that area and arrested two men, ages 27 and 23, and a 27-year-old woman.
Sgt. Keith Williamson said the victim was talking and alert when he was taken to the hospital. He said only one shot was heard by those in the area.
