    Final: OU 4, S. Carolina 3

10:30 p.m.: Garrett Buechele's mammoth eighth-inning home run held up as the winning run as Oklahoma beat South Carolina in a marathon that covered nine hours, including more than six hours of delay time.

Ryan Duke earned his school-record-tying 12th save, allowing one run in the top of the ninth on a bases-loaded walk to Jackie Bradley. Duke then got Adrian Morales on a first-pitch fly ball to Chris Ellison in center field for the final out.

Jeremy Erben started the ninth on the mound for OU and surrendered a pair of hits before Duke entered to fan Adam Matthews. Evan Marzilli walked to load the bases with one out. Whit Merrifield then popped out to Buechele at third base before Bradley's walk.

The win for Oklahoma was its first at the College World Series since the Sooners beat Georgia Tech to win the national title in 1994.

Oklahoma advances to face the winner of Arizona State-Clemson on Tuesday night at 8. The ASU-Clemson loser will play South Carolina Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Get ready for three games Monday, starting with the Sun Devils and Tigers at 10 a.m.
