A 58-year-old man died after a semitrailer truck collided with the vehicle he was riding in Friday in Colfax County.
The female driver, 58, is in critical condition at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Bo Botelho, Colfax County attorney, said the accident occurred on Highway 15 and County Road O, north of Schuyler, Neb., at 3 p.m. Friday. Botelho said the car was making a left-hand turn when it was struck in the rear by the semi. The driver of the truck was uninjured, Botelho said.
The car’s occupants were flown by helicopter to Omaha. The passenger died Friday night.
Botelho said names have not been released. The accident is under investigation by the Colfax County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
