3 p.m.: What others said about Nebraska, Day Three:
Jason King, Yahoo sports: "They would have come off as bad guys if the rest of the Big 12 had disbanded but they save a little face with the Big 12 staying together. I think it's a good move. It will be real invigorating for their program and their fans to play some of these new schools in the Big Ten. I think they did get a little tired of playing second fiddle to Texas in the league. That probably shouldn't have been the case because their tradition is just as strong.
"I've covered a lot of Big Ten games and I think Nebraska will do just fine, especially if they can get an offense that's productive. Defensively, they can stand up to the Big Ten. I will say the Big Ten is a more boring brand of football. The fans who are used to seeing the shootouts aren't going to see those. But Pelini is the kind of coach who likes the 17-14 games won in the trenches.''
B.G. Brooks, former Colorado beat writer with the Rocky Mountain News, now with cubuffs.com: "It's a good move for both schools. People say if you're going to do it, now is a good time to do it. I think everybody has followed the league has seen it coming. I think it's a natural fit, CU in the Pac-10, or Pac-12, and Nebraska in the Big Ten. It seems pretty comfortable.
"I think that's going to be a hard rivalry — if you want to call it a rivalry — for CU fans and Nebraska fans to give up. There has been a lot of emotion poured into those games, maybe more on the CU end, but I have not seen a Nebraska team not get fired up for Colorado, no matter where the game is.
"I think we should call the last game this year the Exit Bowl."
