Golf: Cox Classic information

THE BASICS

• Site: Champions Run, southwest of 132nd Street and West Maple Road. Par 71 over 7,165 yards

• Tickets: Daily admission, $10 for grounds, $20 for clubhouse. Eight grounds tickets are available for $40.

• Prize money: $725,000 (winner earns $130,500)

• Street closing: Eagle Run Drive will be closed to traffic. Only those with VIP parking passes, tournament credentials or residential/members passes will be allowed access.

• TV: None

• Parking: Available at Tranquility Soccer Complex (free parking, shuttle charge on weekend only) and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church ($6 parking, free shuttle).

• Nightlife: Entertainment in the on-site 19th Hole tent is Lemon Fresh Day, 8 p.m. Thursday; Quartus, 8 p.m. Friday; Grand Theft Girlfriend, 7 p.m. Saturday. Cover charge is $5 beginning at 6:30 nightly. Tent is open all day throughout the tournament..

• Fireworks show: Starts at 10 p.m. Saturday from the north end of the practice range

VIEWING TIPS

• Tickets: Must be displayed at all times. Display prominently, using a safety pin or rubber band.

• Allowed: Lawn chairs

• Not allowed: Coolers, cell phones, pagers and other electronic devices. All unauthorized equipment will be confiscated.

• Other spectator etiquette: Kneel or sit when in front of a large gallery. Applaud good shots. Respect the golfers by being quiet and not moving while they swing. Respect volunteers and fellow spectators and obey marshals’ orders. Talk in low voices around the course, including in the skyboxes and viewing boxes.
