• The City of La Vista will continue its 50th anniversary celebration with the third annual Splash Bash.
Get to the La Vista Municipal Pool, 7529 S. 85th St., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for free admission. Also, hot dogs and drinks are free while supplies last. Music, games and prizes will round out the summer fun.

• Enjoy free go-karts, miniature golf, Lazer Runner, Water Wars, Spaceball and Jumpshot at Papio Fun Park from noon to 9 p.m. The park, 210 E. Lincoln St. in Papillion, is offering free admission in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
• LUX Center for the Arts in Lincoln will host a Community Arts Afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The free event will feature art projects for children and adults, pottery demonstrations, outdoor mural painting, face painting and live music by Academy of Rock.

• The Nationwide Tour is in town, and that means professional golf at Champions Run. The final round of the Cox Classic will tee-off at 7:30 a.m. The trophy presentation is scheduled for about 4:30 p.m.

• Re-enactors will portray life in an 1820s military post during the living history weekend at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park. Interpretive activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The park is seven blocks east of U.S. 75 near Fort Calhoun, Neb. A park entry permit is required and may be purchased at the park.

• The Nebraska Barons, five-time National Softball Wheelchair Champions, will host a tournament at ALLPLAY Complex located in Seymour Smith Park. Teams from Minneapolis and Chicago will take part in the tournament. Games will start at 8:30 a.m. with the last game starting at 11:30 a.m.
Admission is free to the public.
• Enjoy a full-blown county fair experience at Westfair this weekend. Cattle shows, baking contests, motorcycle races and a demolition derby will be featured, along with carnival games, rides and a country music concert.
A demolition derby is set for 6 p.m. Sunday.
Westfair is two miles east of Interstate 80 on U.S. Highway 6 (exit 8). Gates will be open from 8 a.m. to midnight. Admission is $5 for adults; $2 for children ages 6 to 12; free for those 5 and younger. There is an additional cost for the demolition derby.

• The Dodge County 4-H Council will serve breakfast at its second annual 4-H Pancake Feed. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Mohr Auditorium in Scribner, Neb. A free-will donation will be taken. Proceeds will go to the Dodge County 4-H Program.
• A finale party for the Omaha Public Library's Summer Reading Program will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Henry Doorly Zoo. Children and teens earned a free pass to the party by reading or listening to books.

• Brownie's Bar & Grill's annual Classic Car Show will run from noon to 6 p.m. at the bar, 125 E. Second St. in Papillion. Car registration, $15, will begin at 10 a.m. There is no charge to view the cars. Other events include music, food and a beer garden.
