Baseball: Errors cost Royals

Box Score: Memphis 4, Omaha Royals 3

Story line: Omaha built an early 3-0 lead but couldn't hold it. Mike Moustakas' two throwing errors led to two unearned runs in the sixth inning. Allen Craig homered twice for the Redbirds — his second proved to be the game-winner in the eighth inning.

Moose tracks: Moustakas made up for his defensive miscues, going 2 for 4 with two solo home runs. He has three homers, nine RBIs and is batting .247 in Omaha.

Comings, goings: Catcher Lucas May, acquired when Kansas City traded Scott Podsednik, joined Omaha Saturday. He hit his 12th home run overall in PCL play in his first at-bat for the Royals. Catcher Manny Pina was sent back to Class AA Northwest Arkansas.

Up next: Game two of the four-game series in Memphis is Sunday at 1:35 p.m. LH Edgar Osuna will make his first start for Omaha vs. RH P.J. Walters (4-3, 2.67 ERA).
