Mayor Jim Suttle has appointed Michael Young, owner and president of Q3 Systems LLC, to the Metro Area Transit board.
Young, 27, was appointed to “bring the perspective of young professionals to mass transit planning for the City of Omaha,” the Mayor’s Office said.
Young has owned Q3 Systems, a locally based technology management company, since 2008.
He is president of Next Generation Omaha and serves on the board of Downtown Omaha Inc. and the Butler-Gast YMCA board.
Young’s appointment has been approved by the City Council and will run through February 2015.
He replaces Robert Armstrong, whose term expired earlier this year.
