The attempt to force a recall election against Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle has ended.
Douglas County Election Commissioner Dave Phipps said Thursday that Anthony FastHorse has withdrawn the recall affadavit he filed in July.
Phipps said FastHorse told him he needed more time to try to organize a recall campaign.
FastHorse would have needed 26,642 valid signatures from registered Omaha voters to force a recall election.
