A driver involved in a fatal crash Wednesday near 126th and Harrison Streets had a blood alcohol content of .30, La Vista Police Chief Bob Lausten said.

That was nearly four times the legal limit of .08 in Nebraska.

Jason Laware, 27, was driving a Honda Accord that struck a Ford Focus driven by Dr. Adam Smith. The crash killed Smith, 33, injured two of his sons and sent Laware to the hospital with serious injuries.

The collision occurred about 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Laware's condition Thursday night was not available, said a spokesman at Creighton University Medical Center.
