• Seen: It would have been hard to imagine a more subdued post-practice setting Tuesday as most Nebraska players filed quietly out of the Hawks Center, sweating profusely and saying very little. It was learned later that practice included some extracurricular physical activity and finished with some punishment.
• This was new: The tail end of practice followed a few moments where people not directly associated with the team were asked to leave and windows on the door leading from the lobby of the Hawks Center to the practice field were temporarily covered.
• Heard: “It was a tough day,” NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne said Tuesday night during his segment on Sports Nightly. The old coach knows a little something about physical practices and unfortunate injuries.
• Up next: Nebraska is scheduled for two practices Wednesday.
