Seen in South Omaha Tuesday: Justin Zabala and six of his buddies stopped at Rosenblatt Stadium while road-tripping from Washington state to Mississippi for a friend's wedding.

They'd pooled $400 to buy a 1984 Dodge van for the excellent adventure and are sightseeing along the way.

Monday: Mount Rushmore. Tuesday: Photo in front of Rosenblatt's "Road to Omaha" sculpture.

They quickly texted the picture to another buddy, who plays baseball for Cal State Fullerton.

Zabala, a Washington State University student, is a baseball fan and wanted to see the longtime home of the College World Series before it was too late.

"I wanted to get a picture before they tore it down," he said.
