Get your fill of all things Italian this weekend at Omaha’s La Festa Italiana, which starts Friday.
This year, the American Italian Heritage Society’s annual event is being held in a new location, the National Guard Readiness Center at 116th Street and Rainwood Road.
The festival offers authentic Italian food, live music and a variety of entertainment. The lineup: John Ciotta, 7 p.m., and ShurThing, 8:30 p.m., Friday; big-screen Husker football game, 6 p.m., and High Heel, 8:30 p.m., Saturday; and the Rumbles, 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Festival hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to midnight Sunday. Admission will be $6.50 at the door, but it’s free for children younger than 12. Information: omahaitaly.com.
