Mark your calendars

It's going to be a busy fall!

We've got several fun events lined up for you already, moms.

Here's what's cooking:

-- This Thursday, please join us at 9 a.m. for a special momaha.com play date at the Omaha Children's Museum. I'm really excited about this one.

We'll have donuts and juice from No Frills Supermarkets, and Clifford the Big Red Dog will make an appearance!

You'll have to pay to get into the museum, but admission to the Clifford exhibit will be waived. And you'll get to enjoy the museum for an hour before it opens to the public. Not bad!

RSVP to me at vdaehn@owh.com by Wednesday.

-- Like international chef Anthony Bourdain? He'll be at The Holland Performing Arts Center Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. And I've got four pairs of tickets to give away!

To enter, click on Mama Talk and look for the thread under contests/giveaways. Post why you'd like to go by Wednesday.

This is an awesome giveaway. Those tickets are $50!

-- We'll see you at Aksarben's River City Rodeo and Stock Show Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24 and 25, at the Qwest Center Omaha. Momaha.com bloggers will be there from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Stop by to meet us and get a free mini-massage from Prairie Life Fitness (um, yes, please). For more information on the show, click here.

-- You've asked for them. We're answering. Weekly play dates, starting the week of Sept. 13. Join momaha.com each Wednesday and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Oakview Mall's play area for a free, informal, fun play date.

Meet some other moms while your kids play. Oh, and there's coffee nearby, too.

-- Dad blogger Al Watts has invited us to the 15th annual At-Home Dads Convention Sat., Oct. 2, at The Durham Museum. For more information, click here.

-- I'm still giving tickets away to see "Pinkalicious" at The Rose Theatre. You have through the weekend to enter this contest. Again, look for the thread under contests/giveaways. I only have four of these to give away!

-- Have you seen Halloween decorations in the stores yet? I have. And that means my favorite holiday is close! Come see us at Treat Streat, Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.

There will be costume contests, arts and crafts, live entertainment and, of course, candy. For more information, click here.

-- We're also rejuvenating our book club. Look for our next book selection later this month and our first meeting in October.

Whew. And we've got a couple other things in the works!

Do you have ideas? Are we on the right track? Let us know anytime what else we should be doing! Click more to leave a comment, or e-mail me at vdaehn@owh.com.

Happy Friday!
