Septemberfest, the annual salute to labor, continues through Monday outside the Qwest Center Omaha downtown.
As part of the celebration, a parade will be held at 10 a.m. Labor Day. It will start at 16th and Cass Streets and move south on 16th to Capitol Avenue, east on Capitol to 10th Street and north on 10th to Mike Fahey Street.
Highlights of the celebration Sunday included a Texas hold 'em tournament.
On Monday, the Firefighters Combat Challenge will take place. Firefighters organized by departmental teams will battle head to head against themselves and the clock for honors.
It's a grueling event held once a year to encourage firefighter fitness and demonstrate the profession’s rigors to the public.
Septemberfest hours are noon to midnight Sunday and Monday. Admission is $5; free for children younger than 5.
