    Carroll Kuemper’s Michael Strautman is off to a strong start. He produced 205 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries in a season-opening win over Carroll High, then added 222 yards and two TDs on 29 carries in a win over Atlantic.

    The 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior carried 33 times for 145 yards and five TDs in the Vikings’ 42-27 win over C-A-M. Havrum also passed for 47 yards, made four tackles and picked off two passes.

    Carroll Kuemper

    The 5-7, 174-pound junior carried 29 times for 222 yards and two touchdowns as the Class 2-A Knights knocked off Class 3-A Atlantic 21-7 in non-district play to run their record to 2-0.
