Creighton University is poised to name a successor to the Rev. John Schlegel, who announced in July that he planned to retire as the school's president next summer.
Schlegel, 67, is a Jesuit priest credited with boosting enrollment and pushing the campus eastward, adding 40 acres. He also spearheaded a $400 million fund-raising campaign.
