NEBRASKA CITY — John Hurley of O'Neill, Neb., improved his standing at the PGA Tour pre-qualifier at ArborLinks by shooting 1-under-par 71 Thursday to sit in a tie for 20th.
The top 34 players and ties after Friday's final round move on to the first stage of the tour's qualifying tournament.
Arnond Vongvanij of Gainesville, Fla., is the leader at 8-under-par 136 for 36 holes.
