Volunteers from Ironworkers Local 21 assembled the Salvation Army's Tree of Lights at 90th Street and West Dodge Road on Saturday.

The 75-foot-tall, 6,000-pound steel tree has 80,000 LED lights and 650 LED starbursts.

A ceremony to light the lights will be held Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. The next day, the charity's bell ringers and red kettles will set up for the season.

Across town, the Salvation Army also held its Red Kettle Run on Saturday. For photos of the event click here.
