The Pinnacle Bank headquarters near 180th Street and West Dodge Road had a fiery dose of art installed this week.
The hanging orange and yellow perforated aluminum structure, which is yet to be named, was installed Tuesday and Wednesday by Talley Fisher, a sculptor from Bellefonte, Pa. Fisher has similar pieces across the United States and around the world, including in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.
The Omaha work consists of 15 separate pieces, weighs about 150 pounds and is inspired by the elements, such as wind and fire, Fisher said. Throughout Pinnacle's headquarters, art produced mostly by Nebraska artists and curated by Omaha-based Corporate Art Co. can be found hanging in boardrooms, executive suites and even the restrooms.
Corporate Art Co., which is owned and managed by Holly Hackwith and Jody Baines, started working with Fisher on the main installation in May and started curating the corporate art for Pinnacle in April. They also curated major collections for Qwest Communications before it was acquired by CenturyLink.
