Tickets for the biggest weekend of next year's U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Omaha are now on sale.
The event — which features ladies', men's, pairs and ice dancing competitions at the novice, junior and senior levels — will be held Jan. 20 through Jan. 27, 2013, at the CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Tickets for the "championship weekend" allow visitors to watch all of the senior-level events, which in the past were won by some of the sport's biggest names, including Kristi Yamaguchi, Michelle Kwan, Scott Hamilton and Nancy Kerrigan. The competition is the final qualifying event for skaters who want to compete on the U.S. team at the World Championships — and for the Olympic Winter Games, in Olympic years.
Ticket prices start at $95, according to U.S. Figure Skating and the Omaha Sports Commission, the championships' co-hosts. The tickets are available online at www.ticketmaster.com, at the CenturyLink Center box office or by calling 800-745-3000.
Tickets for single sessions will be available later.
This year's national championships are under way in San Jose, Calif. Senior-level competition begins Thursday.
