Friday in the Omaha World-Herald and on Omaha.com, World-Herald food writer Sarah Baker Hansen will launch Food Prowl, a year-long series in which we choose our favorite foods in a dozen categories.
Each month, we'll eat as much as we can, sampling Omaha eateries for tacos or cupcakes or cheeseburgers or fried chicken. Each month, we'll tell you the best that Omaha has to offer.
We also invite readers to chime in and tell us their favorite places, too.
For month one of Food Prowl, we're looking at the Reuben
Close to 50 restaurants in Omaha — that we know of — serve Reubens. We've taken on the Herculean task of finding the best.
The "best" Reuben will be determined by Baker Hansen and other Omaha food lovers.
Anyways, we've still got to power through like a dozen Reubens. Stay tuned for our final verdict.
