ATHENS, Ga. — The No. 39 Nebraska men's team lost its first match of the season, falling 4-3 to 34th-ranked Virginia Tech on Sunday at the ITA's Kick-Off Weekend.
With the match tied 3-3, Virginia Tech's Corrado D. Tocci downed Eric Sock 6-4, 7-6 (8-6) in No. 5 singles to clinch the match.
The Huskers play their second match in the Kick-Off on Monday at 8 a.m. loser of the No. 4 Georgia-No. 51 TCU match.
