Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini was involved in a car accident Wednesday night, but he was not hurt.
“Coach is fine, car is not,” Greg Sharpe said in a Tweet. Sharpe is the radio voice of Husker football and baseball.
The accident became a hot Twitter topic among Husker fans.
Sharpe said in an interview that Pelini was on his way to a speaking engagement in La Vista.
Another Tweet said Pelini swerved to avoid a vehicle.
The accident apparently occurred in or near Lincoln, but neither Lincoln police nor the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said they could confirm that.
Sharpe said Pelini, 44, joked about the crash at the dinner, held at the La Vista Hotel and Conference Center.
