4 Westside candidates advance

All four school board candidates who sought nomination Thursday through the Westside Community Schools caucus will advance to the May 12 primary to fill two seats.

The primary serves as the general election under Westside’s system, which is unique in Nebraska.

The four candidates are Rosie Zweiback, who is seeking re-election, and Mark Drabik, David Williams and Beth Morrissette.

The seats up for election are those currently held by Zweiback and Kathy Bradley, the board’s current president. Bradley is not seeking re-election. — Julie Anderson
