The final domino fell on Metrelle Dailey on Tuesday.
Douglas County District Judge Greg Schatz sent Dailey to prison Tuesday for 20 to 60 months for tossing his rat terrier, Domino, out of a ninth-floor window of his downtown apartment complex Oct. 6.
Dailey, 28. and his girlfriend had been arguing — and Dailey had been drinking — when he tossed the dog out of the Jackson Tower Apartments near 28th Street and St. Mary's Avenue.
Dailey pleaded no contest to felony animal cruelty for causing Domino's death.
The couple had adopted the dog from the Nebraska Humane Society a few months before the killing.
