Mmm, chocolate

"All Things Chocolate" returns to Brix, in Village Pointe, on Saturday. The restaurant will give samples of chocolate liqueur, vodka, wine, beer and more. Admission is $5, with all the proceeds going to the Food Bank of the Heartland.

Brix also will have a date night promotion Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. An $80 per couple package includes an appetizer or salad, two entrees, one dessert and two glasses of wine from a choice of 56 wines in the restaurant's Enomatic Wine Serving system, excluding eight reserve wines.

Chef Erik Rickard created a special dessert menu as part of the package. Each couple can choose from dark chocolate mousse with raspberries and dark chocolate shavings; chocolate covered strawberries with white and dark chocolate; oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies dipped in chocolate; chocolate pot au crème spiced with cinnamon and cayenne pepper or tiramisu with chocolate espresso reduction.

The package price does not include tax or tip. Brix is at 225 N 170th St. For a reservation or more information, call 402-991-9463.
