Distance runners Ashley Miller and Jessica Furlan picked up event titles for the Nebraska track and field team Saturday at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa.
Miller won the women’s 3,000 meters in 9 minutes, 26.26 seconds. Furlan finished first in the women’s mile with a time of 4:45.76.
The Huskers also competed at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. Anna Weigandt had a second-place finish in the women’s triple jump with a mark of 41 feet, 5¼ inches.
Nebraska returns home next weekend to host the Nebraska Tune-Up.
