NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) — A 24-year-old Norfolk man could win $10,000 by bagging groceries at a national competition in Las Vegas.
Marcus Schulz won the Nebraska grocery bagging competition to win the chance to compete at the National Grocers Association convention Monday.
Schulz has worked at Lou’s Thrifty Way in Norfolk for more than six years. Lou and Mike Brtek, who own the store, are attending the convention with Schulz.
Schulz and the other competitors will get about 30 items to bag in three canvas bags. They’re judged on speed, technique and attitude.
