"All Things Chocolate" returns to Brix, in Village Pointe. The restaurant will give samples of chocolate liqueur, vodka, wine, beer and more. Admission is $5, with all the proceeds going to the Food Bank of the Heartland.

An $80 per couple package includes an appetizer or salad, two entrees, one dessert and two glasses of wine from a choice of 56 wines in the restaurant's Enomatic Wine Serving system, excluding eight reserve wines.

Chef Erik Rickard created a special dessert menu as part of the package. Each couple can choose from dark chocolate mousse with raspberries and dark chocolate shavings; chocolate covered strawberries with white and dark chocolate; oatmeal chocolate chunk cookies dipped in chocolate; chocolate pot au crème spiced with cinnamon and cayenne pepper or tiramisu with chocolate espresso reduction.

Dante Pizzeria Napoletana will offer a three-course $39 price fix menu tonight. Diners can add wine pairings to their meal for an additional $15. Dante is at 168th Street and West Center Road. For more information or a reservation, call 402-932-3078.

House of Loom also will go chocolately for Valentine's Day. The bar will have a scotch and chocolate pairing from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Couples can speak with local scotch experts Andrew and Leslie Wirick as they walk through a tasting of both light and sweet scotches paired with chocolates. They'll also feature some cordials.

The tasting is $50 per couple and seating is limited.

Le Voltaire will have a special fixed-price menu on Valentine's Day, with two seatings.

The first is at 6 p.m. and the second is at 8:30. The dinner includes a bottle of wine (red, white or champagne) and three courses. Entree choices include a grilled flatiron steak topped with blue cheese and onion confit, baked escolar served with an orange buerre blanc or chicken reunion island style.

Cantina Laredo in Midtown Crossing will have a special Valentine's Day fixed-price menu.

The three-course menu includes an appetizer choice of mango salad or pimento soup; an entree choice of crab enchiladas with poblano peppers, pork tenderloin with cascabel pineapple sauce or filet mignon with pasilla pepper sauce; and a dessert choice of strawberries and cream over cinnamon chips or a seven-layer chocolate cake with chocolate sauce. Both desserts are served with ice cream.

Diners can pair the dinner with a trio of tequila cocktails that include a sunset and pomegranate margarita, a heart warmer, which includes Corazon Anejo tequila, and Bailey's Irish Creme with coffee.

The French Cafe — a Valentine's Day standard — will serve a special menu tonight.

Entrees include classics such as coquilles st. jacques, filet mignon with crab and braised veal. The restaurant's famous French onion soup is offered as an appetizer. The French Cafe is at 1017 Howard St. For more information or a reservation, call 402-341-3547.

Nebraska locations of Noodles and Company are serving up a romantic pasta deal. Through Friday, the restaurant will have a dinner-for-two sweetheart special. Guests can get two entrees with protein and two glasses of wine for $20 or two entrees with protein and fountain drinks for $17. The deal is available from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Noodles and Company has two Omaha locations: 203 S. 72nd St. and 12414 L St.

The Zin Room is serving a series of special entrees and champagne for its fixed-price Valentine's Day dinner. The restaurant will have an early seating from 4 p.m to 5:30 p.m. and two more seatings at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Entrees include a dark molasses bourbon marinated flatiron steak, bacon-wrapped shrimp with crab stuffing and an Asian pork chop with sesame glaze and wasabi cream, among other items in the four-course meal.

The early-bird seating is $50 per person and the rest of the seatings are $60 per person, all without tax or tip. The Zin Room is at 316 S. 15th St. inside Hotel Deco.

Roja and all the locations of Blue Sushi Sake Grill will have special Valentine's Day menus.

At the Old Market Blue, the menu includes a filet and scallops entree; a new world sashimi with white fish, yuzu pickles, cucumber tzatziki, shiso pesto and golden tobiko; and a chef's selection nigiri/sashimi and a foie gras nigiri with seared foie, koshihikari rice and yuzu marmalade.

At the West Omaha Blue, diners will find a different sushi selection with sashimi and nigiri called the "bleeding heart," the "black heart" and the "first love," among other menu items.

The Roja specials, available only at the Old Market location, include Pollo Pibil, an orange marinated chicken breast with plantain chips and spicy mango rice; and a Mexican chocolate cake.

Ryan's Bistro will have a fixed-price celebration on Valentine's Day.

The four-course meal includes a glass of champagne and a variety of entree choices including filet mignon, swordfish, roasted cornish game hen and coq au vin, among other items.

Both locations of Stokes Grill and Bar will have a special menu on Valentine's Day.

The restaurants will also be offering Banfi Rosa Regale Sparkling Wine for $25 a half bottle.

Entrees include scallop and shrimp mac and cheese, a grilled filet and sauteed black sea bass piccata.

Stokes has two locations: 114th Street and West Dodge Road, in Miracle Hills Plaza, and in the Old Market at 12th and Howard Streets. For a reservation at the west location, call 402-498-0804. For a downtown reservation, call 402-408-9000.

Portovino Ristorante, in Midtown Crossing, will serve a special Verona-style dinner today.

The restaurant will give out a free Valentine's dinner for two through its Twitter account, which you can find @PortovinoOmaha.

Diners can try the restaurant's new cocktail, the Romeo and Juliet, which is designed to share and includes Aperol, fresh oranges and Italian sparkling wine.

The menu will include two specialty pastas (a gnocchi marinara with Italian sausage or cheese tortellini and grilled shrimp with sundried tomato pesto) and a free Tiramisu dessert for two.

The Twisted Fork Bistro, in the Old Market, will offer a special Valentine's Day menu. Choices include entrees such as a 12-ounce strip steak, lobster mac and cheese and sauteed jumbo shrimp and polenta.
