SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) — The City Council in Sioux City has approved paying $30,000 in fines for breaking Iowa environmental rules.
The council approved the payment at its meeting Monday.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the city committed three violations, including incorrectly flushing and disinfecting a temporary water line during a street reconstruction project.
The city was fined $10,000 for each violation.
