The City of Council Bluffs has reached an agreement with employees represented by the Communication Workers of America on a three-year contract.
The contract calls for a 2.5 percent wage increase for the first year, which is already included in Mayor Tom Hanafan's 2013 fiscal year city operating budget. The contract calls for a 2.25 percent wage increase the second year and a 2.0 percent increase the third year. The contract is effective July 1.
Employees will pay more for health insurance for themselves and their families. The out-of-pocket maximum will increase by $250 for single coverage and $500 for family coverage.
