Man sentenced in attack

LINCOLN (AP) — A 24-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced to five to 13 years in prison in an attack on his girlfriend and burglary.

Adan Teniente had pleaded no contest to strangulation, domestic assault and burglary. He was sentenced Tuesday.

Police say Teniente broke into his girlfriend's apartment in June. She told police he choked and punched her that night and had attacked her about six months earlier and smashed the windows of her car.
