DENTON, Texas — Alexis Cantu delivered at the plate and on the mound for Creighton in a 5-1 win against Northern Illinois in the Fairfield Inn & Suites Classic Sunday morning.
Cantu hit a three-run home run in the opening inning and pitched the first four innings for her second win of the season.
Becca Changstrom picked up the save with two scoreless innings. The Bluejays 7-0 start is their best since 1987.
Creighton travels to Louisville next weekend for a three-game series starting on Friday and concluding with a doubleheader Saturday.
