Lancers open road trip at Sioux City

Omaha scouting report: Following a 2-2 homestand that ended with Saturday's 6-3 loss to Indiana, the Lancers (26-14-3) kick off a four-game road swing with their sixth game of the season against Sioux City. ... The Lancers are 12-2-2 following a loss this season. ... Omaha is 12-6-2 away from Civic Auditorium, including wins in five of its past six road games. ... Though Omaha is in first place in the USHL's Western Conference, the Lancers have lost their last two games to the fifth-place Musketeers. Omaha still leads the season series 3-2 and is 1-1 at the Tyson Events Center. ... Kenney Morrison is tied for second among all USHL defensemen with nine goals this season and has scored 13 points (five goals, eight assists) the past 13 games.

Sioux City scouting report: The Musketeers (19-23-1) are 10-10-1 at home this season, and the combined score from those games is just as equal as their record — 67-67. ... Sioux City's power play success rate has improved to 17.3 percent and now ranks ninth in the 16-team USHL. The Musketeers penalty kill is fourth at 84.5 percent. ... Forward David Goodwin leads the Musketeers in scoring and is tied for 16th in the league with 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists).
