Spring-like weather — windy, warmish, sun mixed with clouds, and another chance for rain — fill out the rest of this week.

There's a reason: The official start of spring, March 20, is less than a month away.

Enjoy today's partly sunny skies. According to AccuWeather Inc. and the National Weather Service, clouds will increase and a slight chance of rain moves in Wednesday and Thursday.

Throughout the week, expect it to be windy.

Tuesday's winds are forecast to gust to more than 25 mph, Wednesday will be warm and windy.

On Thursday, much stronger winds will kick in as a short-lived cold front descends on the region.

Tom Kines, meteorologist for AccuWeather Inc., said both Wednesday and Thursday could see brief showers.

Sunday into Monday, another chance for rain -- turning to snow -- returns as temperatures drop. Daytime highs on Monday are forecast in the upper 20s to low 30s.

As winter turns to spring, Kines says there's no indication of enduring cold returning.

"Any return to chilly weather will be short-lived," he said.
