LINCOLN (AP) — Police have arrested a Lincoln woman on suspicion of pocketing more than $4,000 while counting money for her employer, a local Target store.
Mary Chapman, 35, was arrested Friday on suspicion of felony theft. She is expected to appear Tuesday in Lancaster County Court for a hearing on the charge.
Police say store officials have video of Chapman taking mostly $50 and $100 bills from money bags and concealing them between envelopes instead of putting them inside the envelopes.
