An Omaha company that helps people search for, compare and book physical storage facilities online is planning to expand its offices and add jobs this year as the company integrates its website with more storage providers.
The company, USstorage-search.com, will add between 15 and 20 employees this year, almost all in Omaha, as the company opens a new call center in March and brings in jobs in search engine optimization, advertising and social media that it once outsourced to third parties.
The company, which is headquartered in Omaha's Old Mill development, currently has about 30 employees and offers online storage options for 30,000 U.S. ZIP codes.
The service works much like hotel and airfare search sites Expedia and Kayak, said Bill Hipsher, the company's director of business development. And in the storage industry, which he said was slow to adapt to the Internet and new technologies, USstoragesearch.com has become the largest online directory, with more than 18,000 storage locations around the country.
