Disaster-themed bar crawl benefits American Red Cross

« Go

The American Red Cross' clubred is sponsoring "Flirting with Disaster" on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The disaster-themed bar crawl benefit will take place in the 100 block of West Broadway in Council Bluffs with stops at German Bier Haus 1892, The Fiddlin Monkey, Barley's, Glory Days, T's Sports Pub and Club and Venue 162.

Participants will play disaster-themed games in the style of "Minute to Win It" to collect game pieces at each location. Once participants have successfully survived the alien invasion, hurricane, tornado, house fire, bomb threat, flood and zombie apocalypse, they'll use their game pieces to compete with other survivors in clubred Words with Friends.

A $25 registration fee includes a t-shirt, food and drink specials at each bar, the chance to win prizes and a membership for clubred, a group of young professionals of the American Red Cross in the Omaha metro area.

Register online at american.redcross.org/flirting, call 402-343-7700 or at the door. For more information, visit redcrossomaha.org/clubred.

All proceeds from the bar crawl benefit the local American Red Cross.
