Obama will open Omaha office

President Barack Obama apparently will again seek an electoral vote in Nebraska.

Obama for America, the president's re-election campaign, will be opening an Omaha office March 15, according to a tweet from the campaign.

Obama claimed one of Nebraska's five electoral votes in 2008 by winning the popular vote in the Omaha-based 2nd Congressional District. He was the first Democrat since Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964 to win an electoral vote in Nebraska.

Republican John McCain won the Nebraska popular vote in 2008 and four electoral votes.
