Any size of glazed or unglazed flower pot with drainage holes in the bottom will work. Or use a pot saucer without bottom drainage holes for cacti and succulents. Other options are: shallow bins, such as a kitty litter box; bird bath; trough; wheelbarrow, rustic cart or wagon.
Pebbles; pea gravel; sand; slate; stone shards; small tiles; shells; clear and colored glass, like flattened marbles; potting soil; twigs; mulch.
Live greenery and flowers
Spanish moss; lichen; Irish moss; dwarf conifers; jade; succulents (fleshy plants for arid landscapes); sedum; dwarf sedges; elfin thyme; baby tears; begonia; many varieties of houseplants.
Arbor; garden tools; lawn and patio chairs; table; watering can; footbridge; fencing; garden gate; larger marble as gazing ball; colored glass beads, about the size of a marble but flatter.
