EXETER – The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves didn't even need their passing attack on Thursday night, as they rushed for 377 yards and the defense added two more scores in a 64-32 rout of the Randolph Cardinals.
The host T-Wolves, No. 7 in the latest D1 rankings, scored 58 first half points as the Exeter-Milligan run-game scored seven touchdowns, four by Kyle Jensen.
The first quarter scoring came on a James Sluka 44 and seven-yard run, a Robbie Androyna 47-yard run, and a Jensen 24-yard fumble return.
In the second, Jensen went in from seven, 70 and 25 yards, while Sluka took back a 30-yard interception return to make it 58-0 at the break.
The only score in the third quarter for the Timberwolves was a Jensen three-yard run to account for the final 64 points.
Randolph made the score much more presentable as Dylan Loberg scored from one yard out, Levi Lackas on a 23-yard run and in the fourth quarter, Loberg raced 33 yards and to cap the scoring was Austin Korth on a three-yard run.
Exeter-Milligan's offense was all ground game as they rushed 33 times for 377, and missed on their only pass attempt. Randolph's rushing crew picked up 243 yards on 56 tries, but lost two of two fumbles, one for a score.
The Cardinals had only 11 yards passing.
The Exeter-Milligan Timberwolves move to 9-0 on the year and will take on the winner of the Freeman and Lourdes Central Catholic game on Wednesday night.
