The University of Nebraska at Omaha men’s soccer team closes its season Saturday with a 7 p.m. contest at Oral Roberts.
The Mavericks (4-10-1, 2-3-1 Summit) are looking to snap a five-game losing streak and are also in search of their first win on the road. They are 0-7-1 in eight road games.
UNO is tied for fifth in the Summit League with seven points heading into the final game.
Giovanni Giattino is ninth in Division I in assists per game (0.58) and second in the Summit with seven assists. Giattino also has 11 points, second most for the Mavs and seventh best in the conference.
Vance Rookwood is sixth in the Summit in scoring with 12 points. His five goals are a team high and also rank tied for fifth in the conference.
UNO boasts one of the league’s top scoring offenses. Its 24 goals and 1.6 goals per game rank second. The Mavs have scored on 12.2 percent of their shots, second behind Oakland’s 14.5 percent. They also rank fourth with 28 goals allowed and a 1.83 goals against average.
