Midtown Crossing brought back an Omaha tradition Thursday night: spectacular holiday window displays.
The “Miracle on Farnam” features 14 window displays showcasing Omaha arts and cultural organizations. The windows were unveiled Thursday night, as the holiday lights along Farnam Street were also lit.
The windows will be lit daily from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. through New Year's Day. The best display, determined by a public vote, will earn a $3,000 donation from Midtown Crossing.
In the video below, workers from The Durham Museum, Lauritzen Gardens, Blue Barn Theater and Strategic Air and Space Museum quickly put the finishing touches on their holiday-themed window displays in preparation for Thursday's grand opening.
