An Omaha man is accused of abducting a woman outside a Walmart store.
Adrian Ross was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, Omaha police said Tuesday.
The incident began shortly after 11:30 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot near 128th and L Streets, police said. The man told 911 dispatchers that his wife had been abducted by a man who got into her car. He said his wife was being taken to Bellevue in a red Geo with Ohio license plates.
A short time later, Bellevue police stopped the vehicle near 15th Street and Cornhusker Road.
The husband was reunited with his wife, who was unharmed, at Omaha Police Headquarters.
It was unclear whether the encounter was random.
According to a search of Nebraska court records, Ross was arrested in Lacaster County earlier this year for violating a protection order.
