Omaha police identified an 18-year-old Valley man as the victim of a fatal one-car crash early Monday near 208th Street and West Dodge Road.
Jacob Dickmeyer was thrown from the car and declared dead at the scene.
Colby Burke, 19, also of Valley, was seriously injured.
Investigators were still trying to determine who was driving. They said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash.
Witnesses told investigators that a gold Saturn was speeding and making multiple lane changes as it headed east on West Dodge Road about 1:15 a.m.
At 208th Street, the car veered off the roadway and into the median during a sudden lane change, witnesses said. The Saturn then entered the westbound lanes of West Dodge and rolled several times, coming to rest back in the median.
Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt, police said. Burke suffered a broken pelvis and head injury and was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, police said.
