Time: 7:30 p.m.
Line: Patriots by 4
Last meeting: Texans won 34-27, Jan. 3, 2010
Lowdown: The AFC East champion Patriots have won six straight and have 12 consecutive winning seasons. The 11-year-old expansion Texans, in the playoffs a second straight season, want to make a statement against a team they could meet in January. Some think pass rushing end J.J. Watt and the league's fifth-ranked defense give the Texans an edge. Houston edged but didn't shut down prolific passers in Denver and Detroit. Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers carved the Texans up in their only loss. Tom Brady is up next.
Prediction: Patriots 31-23
